Screenshots, voice notes, links, songs and PDFs will sort themselves into living islands you can fly through. No folders. Private by default: the iPhone app will do its thinking on your phone.
Planned pricing: free on your phone, with a 5 GB encrypted backup · Cloud Vault Pro from $4.99/mo
How it works
A map, not a hairball. Zoom like Google Maps: islands at a distance, cards up close. The AI reads the math; the galaxy is for you.
Five to eight named islands. Your projects, trips, money and ideas, clustered by meaning and named for you. See what you have and what is missing at a glance.
Zoom in and the island opens: sub-clusters with the top screenshots, waveforms and titles floating in bubbles. Serendipity by design: you see what you forgot you had.
Playable, readable cards with the real links between them: derived from, mentions, same project. One tap snaps any island into a clean grid when you just want a list.
Type “pricing voice memo” and the camera flies across the galaxy, lands on the memo and opens it at 0:12, where you said it.
Hold a card and drag. The islands that want it glow and pull; let go and it moves, with an undo.
The cloud becomes a masonry grid in one motion and back again when you zoom out. Same items, your choice of shape.
Capture · planned for the iPhone app
The app will watch the places things pile up and file them by meaning as they appear. Nothing is copied: it will keep a pointer and a one-kilobyte vector per item.
Screenshots and videos will be indexed in the background, on the phone. Search what was on screen or what was said, then jump to that second.
Press the Action Button or the widget, talk, let go. It will be transcribed on the phone, land in the right island and be searchable by what you meant.
TikToks, product pages, threads, PDFs, Apple Notes. Share once; MogDrive will read the page, pull the preview and the price, and file it next to its relatives.
Planned: share a Spotify link or connect Apple Music, or snap a photo of a bookshelf. Tracks and books will sit on the same map as your files and play through the apps you already pay for.
Search · planned for the app
Not the file name. The thing someone said in a video, the number on a receipt, the vibe of a track. Hybrid search will combine meaning, exact words and filters across everything you save.
INV-9042, 128bpmPrivacy, in plain English
The preview you can try today runs on a sample library inside your browser and uploads nothing. The app is planned with five ways to think, one honest label in its app bar, and the same words here, in the app and in the privacy policy. The web has no on-device engine, and the web app will say so.
No download. Nothing leaves.
Your phone already reads text in screenshots, hears voice notes and embeds sentences. The app will use those built-in engines, so the default will cost nothing and upload nothing. The optional full model, a free 0.5 GB download, will add how things look and sound. Islands will be named on the phone too.
In memory, then discarded.
A compressed preview will be processed in memory for a few milliseconds to make search coordinates, then discarded. Never written to disk. Never used for training. Free for 25 files or 15 minutes of audio a month, unlimited with Pro. On a desktop browser with WebGPU you will be able to run the model in the browser instead.
Encrypted before it leaves.
Files will be encrypted on your device before upload. Free will keep a 5 GB backup of sealed files we can’t open. Pro will add sync across iPhone, Mac and web, room to offload originals and links to share an island; for sync, the server will store anonymous blobs, vectors and keywords, not file names.
| Surface | Default engine | What leaves the device | Also available |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone app (Android and Mac later) | On-device (text, voice, links, PDFs) | Nothing | Full model (free download), Cloud Speed, Keywords only |
| Web, desktop browser with WebGPU | Cloud Speed | A compressed preview, in memory for milliseconds, then discarded | In this browser (0.3 GB cached, nothing uploaded), Keywords only |
| Web, any other browser | Cloud Speed | Same as above | Keywords only |
| Free backup (5 GB) | Your device’s engine | Encrypted files only, sealed with a key that stays on your devices | Restore on a new phone |
| Cloud Vault Pro (any surface) | Your device’s engine | Encrypted files, plus vectors and keywords for sync | Shareable islands |
For producers, editors and designers
Two thousand files called bounce_v4_final are not a library. In the app, samples, stems, references and voice ideas will cluster by how they sound and look. Drag across an island and hear it change.

Questions
The iPhone app is in development, with Android, Mac and a full web app to follow. You can try an interactive preview with a sample library today, in any browser. Join the waitlist and we will email you once, the day the iPhone app ships.
Yes. Everything that runs on your phone will be free: the galaxy over what is already on your phone, search with no item cap, and the optional full model, a one-time 0.5 GB download that adds how things look and sound. Free will also include a 5 GB encrypted backup and 25 cloud-processed files a month. Cloud Vault Pro is a planned subscription for more space, sync, the web and sharing: $4.99 a month for 200 GB, or $9.99 for 1 TB. Nothing is for sale yet.
The web preview you can try today uploads nothing at all. The app won’t upload anything from your phone by default: the on-device engine will index and search on the phone with nothing to download. Cloud Speed Mode, the default in the full web app, will send a compressed preview that is processed in memory for a few milliseconds and discarded. Only Cloud Vault will store files, Free’s 5 GB backup and Pro’s sync, and they will be encrypted on your device before upload. The app bar will always show which engine is in use.
You won’t have to. The default on-device engine will use what your phone already has: text recognition, speech recognition and sentence embeddings, so it will understand words in anything you save. The full model will be an optional free download (0.5 GB) that adds how things look and sound. Without a download, Cloud Speed will do that with nothing stored, one item at a time if you prefer. And Keywords only will work with no AI at all.
The preview you can try today runs entirely in your browser on a sample library and uploads nothing. The full web app will run in Cloud Speed Mode by default, because a browser has no Neural Engine, and it will say so in its app bar. On a desktop browser with WebGPU you will be able to choose “In this browser”, which caches the model locally and uploads nothing. For on-device with no download, use the phone app.
An app that keeps what you save (notes, screenshots, voice memos, links, files) and makes it findable later. Most make you organize. MogDrive is built to organize itself: it will read the meaning of each item and place it next to its relatives on a map you can zoom.
That is what it is being built for. Media will be indexed in time slices, so a search like “where they talked about equity” will open the video at that second and the PDF at that page.
The iPhone app will. The on-device engine and your index will live on the phone, so search, transcription and the galaxy will keep working in airplane mode, and so will the optional full model. The web preview needs a connection to load.
It won’t copy your camera roll or your files; it will point at them and add a map and a search on top. Free will back up what MogDrive itself holds, up to 5 GB, encrypted. Cloud Vault Pro will hold originals if you want to free up space on your phone: 200 GB or 1 TB.
That is the plan. Apple Music tracks and playlists will come in through MusicKit with art, previews and playback. Spotify songs will arrive as shared links with their art and an embedded player. Books will come from Open Library. No DRM media will ever be stored, only what it is about.
Not yet. The iPhone app comes first; Android, Mac and the full web app follow. With Cloud Vault Pro, one galaxy will sync across all of them.
